Harley – 12 year old Rottie mix

Harley

She is the Queen of our home. She just turned 12 and has had a lot of health problems this last year. She loves being outside, very protective of our adult daughters & granddaughters, Son-in-laws not so much, lol.

She is mixed breed but you can’t really tell. I say all the time my husband loves her more than the rest of us. He is her favorite person and sticks to him like glue, unless grands are here then she’s with them.

She is our 2nd Rottie mix and we’ve decided no more. We have become so attached to them it hurts thinking of them not being here. Jax passed at 13 and like Harley they both have/had health issues.
Great dogs!!!

Hi Gena,

Thanks so much for sharing the beautiful story of your Rottie. At 12, that’s a long life for a Rottweiler, even a mix and by the sounds of it she’s had a great life with you.

It’s very hard when they eventually pass and I’m sure it must have been a hard decision not to get another Rottie. Maybe in time you’ll change your mind if it feels right again.

I hope she’s well despite the health conditions and brings you lots more joy.
