rottweiler puppy love of rottweilers

is my Rottie mix?

by Rudy
(Riverside, Ca)

my 6 month old Rottweiler has an extra tan marking over the triangle on his chest and a small white spot in the tan markings on his chest.

we got him from a breeder that did not have papers but the puppy parents were there and they looked good, is my Rottie a mix?

Hi Rudy
Unless you bought a puppy whose parents are both registered with a reputable organization such as the AKC, then there are never any guarantees about whether or not he's a purebred I'm afraid.

HOWEVER, imperfect markings or a white spot or two don't necessarily mean that he's not a purebred Rottweiler, just that he's not a perfect specimen in terms of show potential. For a pet dog that really doesn't matter, he'll still be an awesome dog I'm sure.

Overall health and temperament are far more important!
