Our Beloved Teddy Bear passed away this week. Best dog ever

by Christine Sturgis
(Roseville, Ca)

Teddy was a friend to every person and dog he ever met.

Strong, loyal, gentle and loving.

He adopted our little rescue, Mina and she was most happy sitting between his front paws.

Our hearts are breaking.

So sorry Christine. My heart is breaking for you too. He looks like an awesome dog… a true Rottweiler through and through. God Bless.

so very sorry NEW

truely sorry for you and your family for your beloved loss, i lost my rottie bear oct 13,2011 to sudden cancer and still grieving, when i got bear it was from a good friend that was wheelchair bound and dying and now he had a 10 month old rottie he was trying to find someone to take him, i ddn’t know anything about the breed and didn’t want to know after all the horror stories i had heard about them, but my husband at the time said sre we will take him, well by the time we took him in he had been through 5 families that turned him away, and after picking him up he scared the heck out of me,growling, never wanting to be touched, walked with a slight limp which someone claimed he had gone through a window, so even though his name was bear, his nickname soon became mr.attitude but i desided i wasn’t go to let him down another time,i was determined this was going to work so i went to te libary and took out every rottie book i could find, walking him was a nightmare,he hated anything that moved bikes, skateboards, etc so i started taking him late at night, usually bear and i would sit at the corner curb with him watching the traffic, people moving around,we even had our picnic day we would go to macdonalds and sit at the park,he became my very best friend ever, after losing him at 11 1/2 yrs old, i was beyond being devasted, my friends thought i lost my mind when a week later i was looking for another rottie, not so much to replace my lost, but just needed a rottie in my life,so i adopted max at 7 months rottie from a rescue, what a wonderful rottie,he just loves everyone, the neighbor kids can’t wait to see him outside they run up hugging this neck, hanging on to him,and for a dog that had been in a shelter and the foster home had to keep him caged because he was so sick and had not had all he shots completed until i took him, just to see the look on his face the first time being outside and seeing a bird fly over his head was priceless!!! i will soon figure out how to post his pic on this site so everyone could enjoy his new life, i pray that soon you will find peace knowing that one day he will still be there waiting for you to be togther again

Poem NEW
by: Ged Whopples

Sorry for your loss, I wrote this poem a short time ago, it seems to fit, hope it helps

While you were sleeping I lay by your side
Your dreams tell the story of how your heart cried
You awoke with the dawn to greet the new day
Your heart was so heavy but you could not say

I walked by your side as you went through your day
Lifting your spirits with love, all the way
When you sit all alone, drifting in thought
Think of me for a while and relax in the pause

Then when the day???s done and your home in the peace
Talk to me, I still hear you and need your belief
and at the end of the day when you go to your bed
Know that I???m there, beside your sweet head

And as you dream don???t cry for me
For I never left you, my spirit is free

Condolences NEW

So sorry for your loss, I too lost my honey this past year. He was the greatest dog I ever owned, he was a rescue and beloved by everyone who met him. He was a testament to how truly wonderful Rotties are and changed the perspective of many former Rottie-haters.

Please be strong and know how blessed you were to have been his human…..

My Heart Aches For Your Loss NEW
by: Scott -(Friend of Strider)

There’s no way to truly communicate how deeply we are touched by the loss of our dogs, what your going through will pass in time until then lean on God. He is there for you and He understands your loss and He cares. Don’t allow yourself to fall into the black hole of depression that plagued me for months after I lost my first Rottweiler Zach.
I will pray for you.
Scott

Condolences.. NEW
by: Judy & Angel

Deepest condolences in the loss of your loved one.I also have been through this twice before and it is never easy..My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.Know he’s crossed the rainbow bridge and is playing in rottie heaven..

THE DOGS WHO HAVE SHARED OUR LIVES

The dogs who’ve shared our lives.
In subtle ways they let us know
their spirit still survives.
Old habits still make us think
we hear a barking at the door.
Or step back when we drop
a tasty morsel on the floor.
Our feet still go around the place
the food dish used to be,
And, sometime, coming home at night,
we miss them terribly.
And although time may bring new friends
and a new food dish to fill,
That one place in our hearts
belongs to them…
and always will.

Condolences 🙁 NEW
by: Christopher Bayhi

Condolences on the loss of Teddy Bear.

“It came to me that every time wI lose a dog they take a piece of my heart with them. And every new dog who comes into my life, gifts me with a piece of their heart. If I live long enough, all the components of my heart will be dog, and I will become as generous and loving as they are.”

thank you. He was amazing. When he was a pup it was like he said, “just give me the good dog manual and I’ll study it night and day till I get it all right”.
