Jess

I have been told by a dog groomer that Jess is a cross breed.

I don’t know her history as she was rescued at 18 weeks old, any comments please….

Ged – It’s impossible to tell for sure whether a dog is purebred or not just by looking, especially at only a head shot. But, I would guess that Jess maybe has a little of something other than Rottie in her as her muzzle and face shape suggests perhaps some German Shepherd, or maybe Lab? She’s lovely either way though!

Try DNA Testing NEW
by: Christopher Bayhi

Search the internet for ???Dog Breed DNA Test???. The tests are NOT used for paternity (DNA of the sire and dam must be on file for that), or to tell if a dog is ???Pure??? as in registerable with the AKC. But it will give you a very good idea of what breeds are in your dog and how much of each breed. For example, Jess could be 100% Rottie, or 50% Rottie-25% Lab-25% GSD. Nice looking dog either way!

Variety NEW
by: Rebecca

I believe that purebreds can come in all variations of features. They don’t have to look like the show dogs do, with the perfect Rottie features. There can be slight differences. My (late) Rottie had a smaller head and a slightly longer nose and I was always asked if she was mixed, but she was full blooded Rott.:)
