What can I feed my rottweiler and what can't i feed him?

Hi Shela
Rottweilers are big, strong dogs and as puppies they grow and develop rapidly. You need to choose a premium quality puppy (or dog) food that has the right nutritional balance to support their specific dietary needs.

I'd recommend checking out my Feeding Puppies page for advice and tips on the diet that's best for growing pups.

For adult dogs, you need a premium adult dog food. Take a look at this webpage... Dog Food Explained, to learn how to choose the best food for your dog.

If you want to feed a homemade diet you will need to do considerable research so that you're certain you're providing a diet that contains all the nutrients your puppy/dog needs, and doesn't contain and Poisonous Foods. It takes a bit of time and effort but can most certainly be done.

Hope this helps. Best of luck.

we feed our dogs grain free dog food. Our rottie is real picky, but i stay away from chicken because it causes our's dry skin and make sure the main ingredience is meat not corn, flour etc. you can tell because the amount of ingredience is listed from highest to lowest
