Letting the afternoon walkers know this is his house by standing tall in the front window & barking

Mamma’s boy – That’s all I can say.

I was reading another post on here where the person was scared her puppy wouldn’t be protective because her rottie was too playful. Trust me that doesn’t matter one bit. This dog (even more so now than when he was a puppy is the most playful dog ever) and he is still protective of the house.

When he was younger he would never bark at anything, even now when we go for walks and other dogs start barking at him he just looks at them and wants to play. He usually only barks when he is in the yard or house and he sees someone walk by.

He also tends to bark at swinging gate doors or leaves blowing by at night. I think he barks at his shadow too at night when he is out back, lol.

He puts his front paws up on the railing, sticks his chest out and shows off his big boy voice.
