Running Nose and Sneezing irritating his breath

I have a male rottweiler, which is 35 days old. Now after having food and water, his nose runs and sneezing starts.

So can you guide me and help me out in this matter.

Hi Adharsh
At 35 days, your pup is probably only just being weaned. If he's not familiar with eating and drinking from bowls, it will take him a little time to figure out how to do it without getting it all over him, and making him sneeze etc.

There are certain illnesses that can cause a puppy or dog to sneeze and cough, check out my Dog Diseases and Symptoms page to learn more about these. However, in most cases a pup who is sick will show other symptoms, such as diarrhea, vomiting, lethargy, loss of appetite etc.

But, if he's been eating and drinking okay from his bowls previously and this is a new symptom, then it could be that he's got an infection (perhaps like the 'common cold' in humans) that is causing him to have a stuffy nose and making eating and drinking difficult.

Or it could possibly be that he has some sort of upper respiratory problem such as a small cleft-palate etc. that makes it difficult for him to swallow without inhaling fluid.

Your pup is gorgieus, and he looks chubby and healthy, so personally I tend to doubt that he's got a physical deformity that's causing this. It's more likely he is just learning how to eat/drink, or that he's got an infection.

I'd recommend that you take him to your veterinarian for a check up so that you can make sure that he doesn't have a health concern that needs treatment. It will also put your mind at ease.

Young puppies can get sick very fast, and it's always better to be safe than sorry, so have your vet take a look at him.

Best of luck with this little guy.
