I often get asked questions about training a Rottweiler pup..... that is obedience training such as teaching basic commands, leash training a puppy and so on.

Training a Rottweiler puppy is no different to training a pup of any breed, and patience, consistency, positive reward-based methods and lots of love are really all you need! Rotties are very loving and sensitive, and don't respond well to harsh or punitive measures - in fact that will make training very difficult and stressful. Please don't think that because your adorable puppy is going to grow up to be a big dog, that he needs 'tough love'. That is NOT the case.
