rottweiler puppy love of rottweilers

Rottweiler with torn muscle

my puppy has to have a operation on his leg as there is a tear just under the shoulder.

if he must mate one day will his puppies also have the same problem?

Hi
Unless this tear is something that is due to a genetic weakness such as a joint malformation etc., then I personally don't see any reason why puppies sired by this male would be affected in the same way.

However, there are many hereditary conditions which you need to rule out prior to even considering breeding your dog. Plus he also would need to be a stunning example of the breed with sound temperament and all the necessary health checks in place.

I'm not a vet though, so I'd recommend that you ask your veterinarian the same question and take his answer as the most accurate!

Best of luck, hope the surgery goes well.
