rottie days out in Co Clare?

Hey guys Look just got a rottweier and would love to know if there are any days out in Clare (show events…)

I don’t really want to join a showing club just yet as I think It would take away from Bronson being a family pet as a pup and new and exciting training when he gets a little older and he’s learned all the basics, know what i mean? but I would love to go along to one and socialise with other people who see them as beautiful dogs and not just a news paper report. and maybe find out how to register with the IKC…..

thanks guy and buy the way my name is david and my mutt is Bubblegum Bronson. thanks

David, congrats on your new pup, you’re going to have a blast with him, Rottweilers are amazing dogs.

I don’t have any knowledge of clubs/events in your area, but this website has visitors from all parts of the world so hopefully someone will jump in on this.

For now, once your pup has had all his vaccinations I’d suggest enrolling him in a basic puppy obedience class as that is a great way to get some positive socialization experiences, and visits to dog parks and other dog-friendly areas are great too.

Owning a Rottie is a ton of fun, but it’s also a huge responsibility and we need to be careful to make sure our dogs are well trained and properly socialized so that they can grow up to be the best adults possible and be positive representatives of the breed to counteract all the negative stereotypes!

I wish you lots of luck and fun with your dog ~ Sue
