leash training

I have a 6 week old Rottie pup. How do I PROPERLY leash train her.

I haven't had a pup in 6 years so I need some help remembering what NOT to do.

Hi Karin
My Leash Training A Puppy page has all the tips and advice you need to get off on the right foot (and paw!).

As with all aspects of puppy training, you need to be very patient and consistent, and take things one step at a time.

Rottweilers are very intelligent, and in my experience, one of the easiest breeds to train, so as long as you use only positive training methods and make the leash-training sessions short but enjoyable, you shouldn't have any trouble.

Best of luck with your puppy.

leave the leash on your puppy while she is in the house and let her walk around with it after while it will not bother them
