Feeding my rotties

by Joshua
(Trichy ,Tamilnadu, India)

hi
i am giving my two rotties curd rice two times a day with eggs and dry fish. Is this home food is ok or should i only dog food?

Hi Joshua
Rottweilers are big, strong dogs and as puppies they require a lot of nutrients, in the correct proportions, in order to grow and develop properly.

I'm not sure if your Rotties are pups or adult dogs, but either way, you need to make sure that if you feed a home-made diet that it has the right balance of nutrition or you could have health issues with your dogs.

I'd recommend using a premium puppy or dog food if at all possible, or failing that, constructing a home made diet that provides everything your dogs need.

You can get lots of information on what premium foods are available in India, and how to build a home-made diet, on this page Food Program For Overseas. Hope it helps, best of luck with your dogs.
