rottweiler puppy love of rottweilers

fact or not

Do rottweilers have a problem with the brain developing faster than the skull?

Hi Joshua
This is just one of the ridiculous 'urban legends' and it's not true. Physically a Rottweiler grows and develops just like any other dog, although as they are big dogs they do take longer to mature than smaller breeds.

This myth is sometimes used to explain why a Rottweiler becomes aggressive or 'turns' on someone. It's nonsense. If a Rottie behaves indiscriminately aggressively, or out of character, it's either due to a fault in his/her genetics which leads to poor temperament, or due to the way he's been brought up, or to a particula, specific incident. The nature v. nurture thing.

Their brains grow just fine!
