I have a 14 month old female german rotti, I would like to know whats the best dog food to feed her, it seems like she’s not putting in any weight?
Hi Cora. It’s totally normal for an adolescent Rottweiler pup to be lean and lanky during this stage. Some do not reach their full weight until 2 years, even three. Full height comes first so they can look a bit out of proportion.
First off I’d suggest having your vet check over your pup and evaluate her weight. I would guess that she is within perfectly normal limits.
As for food, these large breed pups need very specific nutrition. Start with this page and follow the links to more specific dog food pages for more info. Premium puppy food designed for a large breed puppy is still fine for her at this age.
