18 MONTH OLD MALE ROTTWEILER, 120 LBS - HOW MUCH SHOUL I FEED HIM

18 MONTH OLD MALE 120 LBS HOW MUCH SHOULD I FEED HIM?

Hi
There's no one-size-fits-all answer to this as all dogs are different, and appetites fluctuate as the pup grows.

I'd just make sure that you're feeding a premium food and use the instructions on the bag as guidelines. Don't 'free feed' ie. leave food down for him all day, rather just offer him his food twice a day (or at this age you can feed him only once a day if you prefer).

Let him eat as much as he wants within about 15 minutes, then pick up the rest. Make sure he gets enough exercise, and check with your veterinarian so that you know whether or not he's about the right weight for his bone structure.

Rottweilers aren't meant to be 'giant' dogs, but a pup with large, heavy bones and/or one who is a little taller than average will end up being heavier at maturity than a shorter dog or one who's skeleton structure is lighter. Each dog is an individual and needs to be evaluated according to their own body type.

Hope this helps, best of luck with your pup.
